Water resistance: Impact penetration tester
The Impact Penetration Tester evaluates the resistance of textiles to the penetration of water by impact, such as rain penetration.
The sturdy frame, made of high-grade stainless steel, allows for repeatable and accurate test results.
This Type II Design Impact Penetration Tester is specifically designed to meet AATCC TM42.
- A small blade inside the funnel allows water to move smoothly through the funnel without any swirling
- Strong Clamps hold the sample firmly in place. The bottom clamp is weighted to flatten the sample
- The drip catcher can be rotated into place once the test is completed. The drip catcher holds the leftover water from the previous test ensuring the accurate water volume of 500 mL is poured inside the funnel.
