What is abrasion?
Abrasion is a form of (undesirable) material erosion which is completely or partially moved or disappears.

Abrasion resistance is influenced by the nature of the friction material itself, the different movements of the friction matter on the surface of the sample to be tested, the internal stress of the sample, the pressure between the material and the sample and the change in dimensions of the sample.
